FAQs for Tattoo Artists
Frequently asked
Questions from Tattoo-Artists
How can I rent a workspace at Tattoology as an artist?
We’re always happy to hear from you. Send us a short message via the contact form or email, including a link to your portfolio (e.g., Instagram). We’ll get back to you shortly to discuss the details.
Do you offer short guest spots as well?
Absolutely. We love international exchange and regularly offer guest spots for tattoo artists. Whether it’s for a few days or several weeks, get in touch and we’ll work out the details together.
Is this an employment relationship?
No. Tattoology works with self-employed artists. You remain independent — keeping your own brand and responsibility — within a professionally organised framework.
Do I have to work in a specific style?
No. What matters is that your style is clearly recognisable, consistently strong, and high quality. We curate artists, but we don’t impose a “studio style”.
How much control do I have over my pricing?
You set your prices yourself. If you want, Tattoology can support you with:
→ aligning your pricing range with the local market
→ structuring full-day sessions and day rates sensibly
→ making your pricing communication clearer
How do clients find me?
You bring your own clients. In addition, enquiries can come in through us via:
→ The Tattoology-Website
→ Social Media
→ Ongoing Studio Marketing
→ Artist Promotions
→ Tattoo Events
We clarify upfront — transparently and fairly – how enquiries are distributed and managed within the collaboration.
Do you offer support with marketing and content?
Yes. Depending on the model and agreement, support ranges from basic website and social media presence to photo content and optional campaign packages.
Do you help with finding accommodation?
Yes! Just let us know. We’re happy to help you find suitable accommodation for the duration of your stay.
What do you need for an application?
Please send us:
→ a link to your portfolio (Instagram/website/PDF)
→ your Instagram handle, plus any experience and your motivation
→ what you’re looking for: guest spot (incl. timeframe & duration) or resident spot
→ your rough preference for the model/terms (e.g., fixed rent, revenue share, or a hybrid)
→ your contact details and the languages you work in
What equipment does the studio provide?
We provide a fully equipped, modern workstation. This includes a high-quality tattoo bed, a work trolley, lighting, and the full hygiene infrastructure. Personal items such as machines and inks are brought by you.
